in the midst

I love wild flowers (have you noticed?). Sometimes you go to look at some and there is an added little creature – beautiful, delicate. A slight breeze tossed the flowers and butterfly a little, so it kept closing its wings and I had to keep refocusing the camera to keep it sharp.

I’m Nobody! Who are you?
Are you – Nobody – too?
Then there’s a pair of us!
Don’t tell! they’d advertise – you know!

How dreary – to be – Somebody!
How public – like a Frog –
To tell one’s name – the livelong June –
To an admiring Bog
